When I joined wYne, it was a startup in the very early stages. The goal was low-cost, grassroots marketing to bring brand awareness and user acquisition. With the app launched in the San Francisco Bay area, we created a micro-ambassador program to get creative with monthly initiatives. We got creative to spread brand awareness by:
Postering with a QR code to access the app in high-volume places within the city and stickering around the city as well.
Sending ambassadors to partnering restaurants and retailers to introduce the product to customers upon entrance.
Having an ambassador presence at local events to talk about the brand and product with attendees.
Posting about the product on their personal social media accounts.
Providing ambassadors with merch to share with others.
