Community Building

When I joined wYne, it was a startup in the very early stages. The goal was low-cost, grassroots marketing to bring brand awareness and user acquisition. With the app launched in the San Francisco Bay area, we created a micro-ambassador program to get creative with monthly initiatives. We got creative to spread brand awareness by:

  • Postering with a QR code to access the app in high-volume places within the city and stickering around the city as well.

  • Sending ambassadors to partnering restaurants and retailers to introduce the product to customers upon entrance.

  • Having an ambassador presence at local events to talk about the brand and product with attendees.

  • Posting about the product on their personal social media accounts.

  • Providing ambassadors with merch to share with others.
